What does love and fear have to do with each other?

My old corgi from years ago.  We can trust God will all our "flocks" you know.  That means your pets are included in trusting God with their care. ;-) We feed them and house them but healing is up to God and some day we have to let them go.  Death is part of life.  Trust God's perfect plan.  In the end you will understand even if we do not yet.

Fear is mentioned in God's Word many many times.  It is important we look up the meaning of fear and know its meaning.  Some fear is good for us.  Fear to put our hand in a hot fire is a good fear.  But fear can mean respect and pay honor to.  Like the Fear of the Lord.  He is Holy , and perfect.  He is to be greatly respected!!  Not to be trifled with!  Def. not to be in rebellion against!!  Love is even mentioned in with fear:

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Here is love where God is showing us true love has no fear but will cast out the fear. I see this as this: if I love God I will trust Him so much that I do not fear what tomorrow brings for God is in it.  I fail at this many times and still get anxious or worried when bills come due or a precious loved one is very sick or hurt. But I need to keep on in faith in spite of fear and trust God against my feelings of fear for God is not in feelings but in facts. In truth of His perfect love.  I can count on Him to do what is BEST not want is what I think is best.  He knows more than any of us.  He is perfect in all His actions for each one of His children.

Jeremiah 2:19New King James Version (NKJV)
Your own wickedness will correct you,
And your back slidings will rebuke you.
Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing
That you have forsaken the Lord your God,
And the fear of Me is not in you,”

Says the Lord God of hosts.

Again this above verse is speaking of fear in the way of God being HOLY and Perfect so we must respect Him in ALL things.

Jeremiah 17:7-9New King James Version (NKJV)

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

When we start to truly TRUST God in all things we then are greatly blessed because we are not going around fearful all the time. We are set free of the chains of fear and anxiousness.  Knowing and trusting God is acting in love. When Heat comes, when trials get hot, when the future being ok is NOT seen and we do not fear -then we have entered in God's Love!  What a great blessing to live every day without fear and trust completely our bodies our minds to God and to trust God with all that we love. Our families and friends. But we are always trying to decide for ourselves what is right and not trusting the God who made us all and is the only one who holds our futures and our loved ones futures in His Hands.

Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, your King is coming,

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

In conclusion Fear and Love have nothing to do with each other.  If you are in a relationship with constant fear something is wrong!  Our relationship with God should have no fear of the future for God is with us. He can be trusted to always lead us through what is going to ultimately help us grow and be better.  Today is the day and each morning is a new beginning. Trust God and do not lean to your own understanding!  As long as we take up the reins and try to handle things our way we live in fear. Let it go and Let God take care of us.
