Comparing the living waters.....

I was pondering the perks of living near large water areas.  I have lived on the coast of Oregon, the coast of Washington and Alaska, and large lakes and rivers in my life.  I have found that when it is real cold out the waters keep the temps higher than in the hills.  When it is hot out the waters keep us cooler.  At least here on the west coast it is.   It is also provides fresher air and more moisture for us to breath.
No wonder the Word of God is likened to living water!
Water is the one ingredient of life besides air that we cannot do very long without.  Water refreshes and gives life.  Just as God's word does.  And it is needed every single day all day.

John 7:37-39New Living Translation (NLT)
Jesus Promises Living Water

37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”[a] 39 (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given,[b] because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)

Jer 2:13  For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
Joh 4:10  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Joh 4:11  The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

Joh 7:38  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
