Prayers answered and Thankful for Forgiveness

We are so thankful when others forgive us of wrong doing.  But how often do we forgive those who have wronged us? Who among us has not done things that we wish we had not?  The word of God says we have all fallen short and sin. Not only that but we keep on falling down through out our lives in some way or form.

God clearly says if we wish our prayers to be answered we need to always be ready to forgive others. This does not mean you will live without boundaries.  (read up what good self boundaries are if you do not know as there are some great books out)  Forgiving others saves our own mind and heart.  To not forgive is cancer to you.  Let these things go to God who knows all things and is the only Judge.   We do not condone the wrong actions against us or others but we can forgive and that forgiveness is actually turning away from our attempts to hand out some sort of judgement and Trusting God to take care of the offense.

This thanksgiving take time to see if there is anyone in your life you have not forgiven.  Before you pray your next prayer ask God to help you forgive and also to help you know that God has forgiven you!

Mark 11:25-27New King James Version (NKJV)

Forgiveness and Prayer

25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.
