Feast of Tabernacles - Do you know what it means?
The sixth festival that God set up in the old testament to teach humanity the plan of God is called "The Feast of Tabernacles". or Feast of booths. It was meant to be a remenberance of how the children of God had to dwell in tents (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and when God took the Israelites out of Egypt! Picturing we are only Inheritors and have not yet Inherited the promise. We have a greater HOME coming! They all dwelled in temp. housing until God lead them to the "promised land". Lev 23:42-43
This one week long celebration was to show the coming 1,000 year reign on earth after Jesus Christ returns to this earth to rule.
It shows a time of great celebration and rejoicing! When God rules you cannot imagine how great will be the joy and peace that shall come!! Read about all the Holy Days God set up in Leviticus 23.
Long ago when Israel (God's people) were in the wilderness this was a type of all people who will go through trials and hardships to inherit the promises of God. They are wanderers, waiting to inherit the promise of salvation. We must overcome and grow in wisdom and knowledge to inherit the Promises.
This feast was to point to our eternal inheritance!! Those who change now to follow Christ and His ways, who go through all conditions that come their way and stay faithful to God and BELIEVE with all their hearts, these same people WILL inherit the Kingdom of God. As Spiritual Beings , the sons and daughters of the living God will be there with CHRIST to Lead the world to a way of Godly love and peace everywhere! The people who are still physical and those born at that time will need these leaders to teach and train them in a way that is right.
No more hate, greed, lying, stealing, killing etc. A new world of such peace and harmony this world has never known!
The seven days picture the entire millennium. But exactly right after it is another Holy Day called the "Last Great Day" This is the 7th and final Holy Day. Seven is God's number for completeness.
When Jesus preached on this day, he said, "“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink...out of his belly [innermost being] shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive...” (John 7:37-39).
