God did not send His Son to Condemn You!

John chapter 3 is a great study.  Here we have a one of the religious rulers (Pharisee)over the Jews who approaches Jesus and seeks understanding.  He is a highly intelligent man and sneaks into the night to see Jesus. (no doubt because he does not want to be seen with Jesus being the "smart" pharisee who knows all things)   Lets read the first part here:  (bold my own injections)

John 3

New King James Version (NKJV)

The New Birth

There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
(He is aware that Jesus is doing things no mortal man can do)

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
(Jesus is saying one must be born again to Spirit at some point in life. First baptized in water to a begotten son of God

ex: like a baby is 1st a seed growing in the womb before it is born but still a son or daughter of their parents just not yet actually born yet.

by the repenting of sins but not Born until the change to a spirit being at Jesus next coming)

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

(Jesus is saying that as we are right now in the flesh, physical we cannot enter into the coming Kingdom of God unless we become Spiritual. One becomes spiritual minded upon repentance and receiving the Holy Spirit in baptism.  Then a complete change of mind toward God begins.Since God is spirit how can we expect anything else?)

The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”
10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11
(Now I love this part as Jesus is getting to the heart of this mans problem!  He is self righteous and goes about acting like he is above all others.  That is why Jesus says "Are you the teacher of Israel and don't know already?".  LOL! But this man was a teacher of the law of God.  He knew the law of God passed down for generations. But Christ was there to teach something much  deeper than just the law. The reason He came! The old set laws and regulations were not going to save anyone. This man did not get it yet. )

Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.[a]

( I want you to pay attention to verse 13.  NO ONE has went up to heaven except the one (Jesus) who came down from heaven.  Do you understand what this is saying?  People are not dying and becoming alive in heaven floating on the clouds.  When the children of God die,(the good and the bad acting people of the earth) the spirit of that person, the essence of what makes that person unique and who they are.  THe same essence God created to make that person here on earth who they are returns to God but it has no consciousness yet.  It is as asleep as other scriptures show!  It is at rest until the resurrection! Until the Judgement time. Each in his time order. But that is a whole new study and let it wait for now)

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but[b]have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

And here we have the conclusion, For God wants all men/women to come to that point in life where they turn to their Creator and Love Him and want to follow His ways of truth, true love and righteousness.  To turn from selfishness, greed, deceit and barbaric behavior.  God has a plan for all peoples of the earth.  He does not want any to perish but to turn to life everlasting.  Christ paid all our penalties of sin.  The death sentence is paid but will we accept it?
Do not let Satan take your life away!  Do not listen any more to his lies about who you are and CAN be!  You have a choice today!  Choose rightly.  and by the example today even many calling themselves christians, followers of Christ have not changed and truly repented and focused their life on acting like one!  Like the pharisees they are full of self righteousness and think they know it all but do not know they are poor and in want.

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
