Finding your spiritual Gifts, Your Passion in the Work Force

First you should take a spiritual gift test.  Many are online. Pray before you take the test.  Trust God to direct your answers.
Here is one that I just recently took and found interesting: CLICK HERE TO TAKE

The test is 140 questions.  Answer as honestly as you can.  When you are done, the areas you are most likely best in, are listed first.  Score is on the left column.  I see that my score is what has always turned up first and that is Prophecy.  This is the gift from God to me.  I did not study for it, or was I taught it.  It is a gift God has placed within me.  Second and third for me is Craftsmanship, faith and Discernment.

Once you learn your top talents.  You should use those talents in choosing your career and use those talents in serving in the church you attend too.  It may mean that some day you will change your career to better serve God in what ever He is leading you.  Do not be afraid to do this!  When you know for sure that God is leading you in some direction, you will never regret the outcome.  It is not about success or failure, it is about your personal relationship with God.  What and where He leads you will be for your best growth.  It is when you find this path that you will also find true peace and purpose in life.

You may not be financially rich, and may actually earn less money.  But you will gain in great spiritual rewards that produce a joy you never experienced before!

For me, I am a full time artist/ craftsman.  What ever I design, I do in the Name of Jesus Christ.  I try to put in each piece the harmony I find in creation around me.  The colors, the textures and forms.  But more than that, I have the whole day, every day to pray as God leads me.  To study every day, to seek His voice above the sounds of the world.  I am a voice of what God leads me to say here on my faith blog.  I also have many who email me with direction in their spiritual lives who I pray for and point them in the right path.  My gifts from God are to be used.  To not do so, is a failure on my part.  As the parable of the talents in the Bible states:

Mathew 25:14-29 The Parable of the Talents

14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far
country, whocalled his own servants and delivered his goods
to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two,
and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and
immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had
received the five talents went and traded with them, and
made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had
received two gained two more also. 18But he who had received
one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled
 accounts with them.
20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five
 other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents;
look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His
lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you
were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over
many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who
had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered
to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents
besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and
faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things,
I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy
 of your lord.’
24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said,
‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have
not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the
ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and
lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown,
and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you
ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and
at my coming I would have received back my own with
interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him
 who has ten talents.
29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will
have abundance; but from him who does not have, even
what he has will be taken away.

God bless and keep you, Teaching you all things so that you
may be ready for the day of His return.
