Memorial Day Tribute

I Remember
My Uncle, served in World War Two.  He is alive today but his mind is old and faded.  He was always a gentle man, as I remember.  My dad said he was never the same person after the war though.  It was interesting to find out that after the war he worked right here in Coos Bay Oregon as a logger for awhile.
I suppose the area brought some peace to him while he healed from the sights and sounds of war.

Then there was my late husbands brother, Richard Gene Bauer who died in Vietnam.  His brother Bobby, my husband that died, and I were still in High School when he went missing in action.  He was flying a helicopter when it went down.  I remember we all wore bracelets with his name on them.  Bob was never the same man after his brother was found.  Nor were his parents.  Richard died serving his country, fighting for freedom of humanity.
Years later when the remains were found, it was assumed the helicopter was shot down.
Peace not yet!
We shall always have war on the earth until the True and rightful Leader comes Back.  Right now the earth is ruled by the Spirit of darkness, (2 John 1:19)and his attitudes and selfish desires rule over all the inhabitants.
This spirit broadcasts his ways to all the minds open to receive it.  Like a radio wave, unseen yet there.
Only one thing can stop it, the Power of God.  The willful belief and direction of each man, woman or child to put into their mind the things of God.  To pray for God's protection against these ways of hate, revenge and greed.

Hope
Yet we do have Hope!

Isaiah 40:31 (New International Version)

 31 but those who hope in the LORD
       will renew their strength.
       They will soar on wings like eagles;
       they will run and not grow weary,
       they will walk and not be faint.
